Experience has taught Tory whips that if they become aware of someone who's a sex pest, accused of sexual assault, arrested for rape, etc - it's in their own personal interest to keep it quiet. Holding that knowledge can hugely help them to climb the career ladder.

Tory DNA isn't to 'do the right thing'. First and foremost it's about what's best for themselves, then the Party. Never be conned they care about you as an individual. Even an incident as serious as rape is brushed under the table until it can no longer be avoided
