sakusa knowing that he can't give atsumu all that he deserves and only sees it as atsumu could be happier with someone else, not someone who struggles just with holding hands

Sakusa slowly getting more and more distant and atsumu takes it as sakusa needing space, wondering if he did something wrong

Sakusa overthinking everything and atsumu trying to give him space when what they need is communication

Both of them wondering if the other finally had fallen out of love.

It gets to the point where the little notes and banter dies down and silence ensues their now very lonely apartment.

Atsumu who doesn't want to give up on sakusa and still tries to act as natural as possible but his touches no longer lingers and his answers becomes short

Sakusa giving up and thinking that it's the end. Atsumu who doesn't want to but what power does he have if sakusa says it?

Sakusa sits them down. Both not wanting to end it just yet but thinking that the other is already sick of them.

Both wanting the other to say it quick and clear like ripping of a bandage. Holding their breaths and keeping their mouth tight in case of the predicted impact. Forcing the other the option of loving or leaving thinking it's gonna be the latter.
