i think its a mistake how privilege became the dominant way to view oppression bc it really REALLY flattens things and also positions oppression as an individual narrative instead of addressing structural issues which makes it harder for ppl to understand and easier to refute
and then it also does this weird thing of making it so ppl views marginalized groups thru the same exact lens and tries to shove it into the same exact framework even when it doesnt fit. like it shows up most obviously with trying to talk abt race and sexuality the same way which
just does not work bc theyre v different things jfhdnvgjhdf and operate under different frameworks. which is how you get ppl freaking out all the time abt whether trans men are oppressed or privileged like..... there are very few things you can say thats true for the entire group
or like fjknvgjkd its silly to treat being white passing as the same thing as being trans and cis passing bc it means radically different things with a lot of idk nuance between both groups
