A lot of convos I see on Twitter are about hating women. Particular groups of women. Women who like ice cream dates. Women who appreciate small gestures. Who would propose. Who engage in transactional sex. Who love women. Who aren't like you or as you would make them.

These women are not less than you. Not less intelligent. Not less worthy of love. Not less ambitious. Not less enlightened. Not less sexual. Not less desirable.

They are less like YOU or how YOU would like them to be.

Eat your filet mignon. Get your bills paid. Rock your jewelry. Find your Boaz. Get your fancy ring + proposal. Go on baecations. Do you.

And let other women do them in peace. Be your version of woman. Date your favorite kind of woman. And fuck off and leave the rest of us alone.

Oh, you big rusty adults who hate girls and quick to call them all kinds of hateful, disgusting names, grow up.

Children are children. Grown men are grown men. People under 16 cannot consent to sex. If girls go missing "to be with man," they have been VIOLATED.

It doesn't matter what you did as a 15-year-old or how your parents kept you on lock or would have disciplined you. You don't know these children's lives. Hopefully you can remember knowing less than you know now and making terrible decisions because YOU WERE A CHILD.

Missing girls could have been abducted. Threatened. Tricked.

Whatever happened, however they ended up somewhere else, it's illegal.

They are not criminals. They are children. They need to be protected.

Focus needs to be on protecting children. Teaching them about sex and sexuality. Giving them tools to survive in this place.

Save your judgment for grown ass men who prey on girls. Who steal them away. Who use them. Who don't care how we treat them when they're found.

The problem is not that girls are "fast."

Girls often don't get enough love. They don't know what it looks like. They want to be adored. Sometimes, they don't have enough. Someone shows them a possibility, and no one has ever told them what red flags look like.

Remember when you thought you was woman? Thought you knew everything?

Remember the shit you did behind your parents' back? Things they still don't know about today?

The girls and their parents don't need our disdain. They need help being reunited. They need no stigma. Just help

When girls go missing, understand it as a violation. There is no such thing as "underage sex." It's rape.

They are victims. Preyed upon. Children. Still have a lot to learn. They don't deserve to learn the hard way.

They deserve to be found, to be safe, to be protected.

When you talk about them like they're women, capable of making decisions like adults, you help to justify sick predation. You make it difficult for people to report sexual violence. You discourage people from helping to find MISSING CHILDREN. Stop fucking around.

It's not about you. How "good" you were. How strict your parents were. It has nothing to do w/ your experience of childhood/parenting. There are other ppl in the world having different experiences.
