same ppl who think korra is badly written also think Skyler from Breaking Bad is badly written / "annoying"

the amount of people consistently criticizing LoK for things that ATLA did exactly the same (or worse) blows my mind - the more I have this conversation the more I am affirmed that Korra's writing is great ESPECIALLY in comparison to ATLA.

My first reaction to finishing Korra was that I liked the writing much better in Korra and the characters much better in Avatar and my opinion hasn't changed

also y'all I dont know how else to explain it but I DONT THINK AANG IS A MARY SUE -- I think if you're going to say Korra is a Mary Sue and that Aang is so much better, it's daft. That's the meme.

ONE MORE THING. I swear. To me, ATLA wasn't really about Aang's struggle learning to bend. It wasn't that difficult. What was interesting was that he had an insane deadline to try and become as strong as he could in that short period of time. He didn't struggle he WAS RUSHED
