Internazionale Serie A 2019/2020 Review
1. Samir Handanovic 7,5/10
Il Capitano is arguably still one of the best GK in the league, saved our ass many times including that crucial penalty save against Atalanta but also let us down couple of times. Had an injury that proved we need a better back up.
27. Daniele Padelli 4/10
He probably wouldn't feature this season if Handa didn't injure himself in the training. Played in 6 games including the derby and almost cost us the game. Those games he played proves the ex Liverpool man is not good enough to be Samir back up.
46. Tommaso Berni 1/10
Spent 6 seasons with us with 0 appearance. Gave him 1 because the 2 red cards he took for insulting Fabio Maresca and Gianluca Manganiello.
2. Diego Godin 6,5/10
Came to the new league and new system, Godin actually did okay in couple of months, then he started to struggle. The Uruguayan looked sluggish playing his new role as R/LCB under Conte. Somehow, gained his ATM form after the season restarted.
6. Stefan De Vrij 8/10
I still thank Ausillio to this day because we managed to snatch Stefan for free. The Dutchman was brilliant throughout the season, had one or two bad games but didn't change the fact that he's one of the CB best in the league.
13. Andrea Ranocchia 6/10
Our ex capitano played a bit role this season. Made 7 apperances in Serie A and played quite nice. Froggy never complained and always ready whenever Conte needs him. We never lost with Ranocchia on the pitch somehow.
37. Milan Škriniar 5,5/10
The Slovak is one of the most important player since coming here 3 years ago. However, he failed to perform consistently in Conte's system. Lost his place to Danilo and Godin after the break, we even tried to exchange him with Ndombele. Sad.9
95. Alessandro Bastoni 7,5/10
Our breakthrough of the season, nobody expected him to have such a brilliant season. Thanks to Conte, Bastoni is becoming one of the best young defender in Italy. Hope he stays for a long time and becoming our future captain. Gem.
33. Danilo D'Ambrosio 6/7
The hate towards Danilone is unbearable, the 31 yo is labeled as "not Inter standard" by many Interisti, but somehow he always do his job, even scoring some important goals. For me D'ambrosio's versatility is a reason why he's a perfect back up for Conte.
87. Antonio Candreva 6,5/7
Candreva did really well this season, probably his best season in Inter shirt. I know some of you still want him out, but you can't deny his contribution with 5 goals and 7 assists. Gonna be a good back up for Hakimi next season.
15. Ashley Young 7/10
Who would've thought?
Probably most of us disliked the idea of getting the 35 yo LWB from England. He came in the winter transfer for free, banging 4 goals and 4 assists in 18 matches. Young still looked shaky defensively, but great going forward. Useful.
11. Victor Moses 6/10
Just like Young, Moses came in mid season to provide depth for Conte. The Nigerian has been useful so far, made 3 assist in 12 games, a good back up for Candreva. Fuckin hell Victor.
34. Cristiano Biraghi 5,5/10
Our ex primavera came back this season, was a bit exciting after his great couple of years in Florence. He started poorly, very weak in defense, very limited going forward. Starting to perform after the break, made 6 assists in total.
18. Kwadwo Asamoah 3/10
Asamoah only played 8 Serie A games this season, made 1 assist, and that's it. He's down injured, never fully recovered, even after the season restarted. Probably his last season with us.
8. Matias Vecino 5/10
Just a usual Vecino's season. Inconsistent, injury, and another crucial goal. This season, he made 20 apperances, most of them are forgettable. He added another goal that the fans will be remembered, the leveler in the last derby.5
5. Roberto Gagliardini 5,5/10
If Vecino had a forgettable season for us, Gagliardini is the opposite, he gave us the unforgettable performances, in a bad way, especially after the season restarted. His open goal chance against Sassuolo will haunt Interisti for years.
12. Stefano Sensi 7/10
Have to give him 7 because the impact he's given to this team. Despite only making 12 appearances, Sensi left a huge mark. We played nice football with him on the pitch, and never looked the same since he's down injured against Juventus, October last year.
77. Marcelo Brozović 7/10
Since Spalletti unlocked Brozo's full potential, he's becoming indispensable to this team. Things changed when Eriksen came, Conte tries to fit Eriksen with a new 3 4 1 2 formation that force Brozo to play a mezzala role. Still had a good season overall.
20. Borja Valero 6/10
Conte labeled Valero as his savior this season. The Spaniard didn't complain when he rarely got a minute earlier this season and always ready when Conte needs him. Making 19 apperances and scored 2 in the process, Borja barely put a foot wrong this season.
32. Lucien Agoumé 4/10
Touted as the next Pogba by many, Agoumé never really showed his ability this season for the first team. Spending his time mostly with primavera, Agoumé only featured in 3 games this season as a subtitute and showed glimpse of his talent.
23. Nicolo Barella 7/10
We should be grateful having one of the best Italian MF in this team, something we never had for a long time. Nicolo gave a new energy to this team and simply becoming our engine. Tends to overdo things sometimes but still forgiveable.
24. Christian Eriksen 4,5/10
Many excited with his arrival, some being sceptical. Nobody questioned Eriksen's quality but can he adapt Italian football and Conte's system? The fact that Conte chose Borja even Brozo at this role proves that he needs time. Dai Eriksen!
10. Lautaro Martínez 6,5/10
I would give him 8/10 if he didn't pull Dr
Jekkyl & Mr Hyde performance. Lautaro was
brilliant ih the first half of the season
scoring 10 goals before Barça knocking his
head. Somehow he found his old form in the last 2 qames, relieve.
