Here's how i learnt to code - a thread

First I decided i wanted to learn the skill back in 2014 , 2015 ish i was 13/14

I tried to learn python2 myself that year and failed misrably. I think i only learnt what the 'print()' function did

I failed because the vidoes were too boring and i kept sleeping. I really was not motivated enough

I basically gave up after that

Fast foward 2016. I decided i hated secondary school and i wanted ro graduate early. So i took extra classes and left in grade 11. After this i had a year of freedom. I could basically do everything and anything i wanted.(that i could afford)

Okay. So my free year strarts and i am super hungry to learn. I decided to try the programming thing again ...but remember i failed before! I was scared I was going to fail again if i tried on my own so i decided to go to a bootcamp typa thing

Only thing was that the bootcamp was very very expensive in nigeria and i couldnt afford it. That was the only one i could go to and i did not want to bother my parents.

Decided to face my fear and start learning on my own. I bought books and started reading. I watched youtube videos and i failed again very quickly this time. I hate reading books and i kept finishing the internet at home. Also the whole programming thing never clicked in my brain

I loved math so i taught my self calc 1-3 that year and did zero prpgramming completly wasting that year. I loved 2017 though argubaly the greatest year of my teenage years

Its 2018 and its time to go to collage. I come to school late and couldnt register for a class so I took an intro to python class. This class basically saved my life. I learnt all the fundamentals of programming but finished that class with a B :(

So thats not the full story actually because I did something crazy mid semester which turned out to be the best decision i made in my life. Till date.

Mid semster. Barely being able to write for loops. I took a 8 week ios developemnt class. This class required understanding of OOP which my intro python class was going to cover at the last week of school. I was terribly behind in this class.

4 weeks into my 8 week class i still did not undertand anything. Like i failed the midterm already for submiting the wrong file. I cried walking home from that class everyday because I was really about to get an F. And i did it to myself

6 weeks into the class and i started to understand the first week material. At this point I knew I was making plans to retake the class the following semester.

Sometime before my final project I found Udemy somehow, somewhere and I bought a angelYu ios course for 10 bucks. The course had 40hours of content
