This is absolutely unhinged. The Every Day March, which has peacefully marched mornings and evenings every day and been the victims of multiple violent attacks, was stopped in Snohomish last night by an armed group of local residents, including the local Sheriff. Look at this.

In fact, the group were not even allowed to march, and were met with threats of violence almost immediately. Rightwing media has spent the day framing this as an "ANTIFA INVASION," claiming the group trespassed and was aggressive. Good thing we have video showing the opposite.

Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if Seattle Police try to use this story to boost the PR campaign they're very clearly running right now, attempting to derail the vote to defund the department. I suspect there'll be a press release coming shortly, they've been doing it all week.

Here's one example of the kind of story they're pushing. You can tell it comes directly from Seattle Police because they don't identify the "victim," nor do they mention the fact that he assaulted a woman and threw someone's flashlight into the bushes. It's all just a PR stunt.

Here's another example. They sent this officer out to do interviews with every local news station to talk about a knee injury supposedly caused by "violent" protesters. As far as we know, this was the most serious police injury from last Saturday's protest. Very dramatic.

And of course there's the now-infamous press conference earlier this week where they tried to convince us all that they'd foiled a terrorist plot, but it looked more like they'd raided a birthday party.

So, as I was saying... Look who just wrote a public letter to city council about protesters doing nothing illegal at all. Strange she didn't mention her neighbors brandishing firearms. And wow, would you look at that, they released it just in time for the 11 o'clock news.

The more I read this letter, the more upset I get. We knew it was coming, anyone who has been paying attention could have predicted it. But what it actually says is that Carmen Best believes this gun-toting gang did the right and appropriate thing yesterday. This is obscene.

Well would you look at that. Local network news already had the story ready, because they were sent the letter before it was released to the public. This story was published 6 minutes after the letter was released. We are paying for this. We are paying these people to orchestrate a PR campaign rooted entirely in slanderous falsehoods... All so they can be allowed to continue brutally abusing the people of this city with impunity. They've been doing it for months now.

Right now, as I'm typing this, this exact same group of protesters is sitting outside Teresa Mosqueda's home, having a productive and positive conversation about the future of public safety in Seattle.

This is what Carmen Best referred to as "aggressive" and "illegal behavior."

Honestly, this should be the last straw. Summer Taylor was a member of this group, murdered by a man on the freeway. Last week a member of the bike brigade guarding this group was violently assaulted, in a completely unprovoked attack. Carmen Best is *encouraging* that violence.

The young people who have been leading this particular march, every day for months, are some of the most thoughtful, principled, perseverant, organizers I've ever seen. That she is putting them in danger like this is just appalling.
