My name is Jahaziel. Like many other kids with ethnic/complicated names, I’ve been given many nicknames and mispronunciations throughout my life. And I thought I’d share my favorite/funniest ones with you guys! Feel free to tell me yours as well :)
1. Jahaziel

So let’s start with my actual name.
In Spanish, it’s pronounced Ha-siel.
In English, it’s pronounced Jah-ha-z-l or Ya-hey-z-l

Obviously, this the perfect amount of complicated to have many pseudonyms lmao. I used to hate my name but I’ve come to love it
2. Jazy

The first nickname I was ever given. It’s a nickname pronounced in Spanish given to me by my parents. The only people who call me this are close family so it’s got a nostalgic feel to it
3. Tati

So when @arielsayshi was a kid, he couldn’t pronounce my nickname Jazy (dummie). Instead, he would say Tati. Now usually I wouldn’t include this on the list but literally every single one of my Mexican aunties STILL call me this to this day! So it lives on in infamy
4. Jaha (or Jaha Blast)

This is my favorite nickname EVER. I can also reference the popular soda drink, Baja Blast so double win. Shoutout to @janaple for coming up with this one <3
5. Jazz

I like this one. It’s a good derivative of my name and was given to me cause I played the trumpet. It also allows me to endlessly reference the ‘you like jazz?’ meme from the Bee Movie so double win once again.
6. Jay-Z

Shoutout to Mr. Rose, my middle school marching band teacher for this one. He asked me what nickname he could call me since my name was tough to say so I said “call me Jay” but he misheard and was like allow me to re-introduce yourself
7. The Seal

Ight this one’s a bit complicated to explain. My 8th grade history teacher would call me Jizziel and sometimes it would sound like he was saying The Seal. Also I kinda have the personality of a seal so https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="👍🏼" title="Thumbs up (mittelheller Hautton)" aria-label="Emoji: Thumbs up (mittelheller Hautton)"> Dont like when people ask me to sing Kiss from a Rose tho
8. Hazelnut (or Jahazelnut)

This one’s too funny and hella creative. Some people would pronounce my name like Jahazel which sounds a lot like hazelnut which, let’s be honest here, is comedic gold. Shoutout to @Sebastian5557 and his gf for this one
9. Chipotle

You might think “huh? how does this one work?” Well, my last name is Cipolla and I’m Mexican. Join those two together goku-style and you get Chipotle. I like this one because Chipotle is my lifeeee
10. Jazezi

This is my Nigerian name. Ms. Miriki, my chemistry teacher always pronounced it like this. I think it sounds rad af
11. Jizziel

My middle school history teacher pronounced my name like this. And the spelling of the nickname was comedic gold for middle schooler’s brain development
12. Jasaniel

This one’s a mess but my college friends won’t LET IT DIE! A simple mispronunciation from my accounting teacher
13. Giselle (or gazelle)

Won’t go into these but just know that these are the bottom of the barrel. HATE!
14. J (or Jay)

These are okay. Fun fact: they’re my go-to names when I go to Starbucks
15. WiteOut Man

Don’t even know where to start. In middle school I notoriously brought industrial amounts of WiteOut which I always passed around. Basically my drug dealer origin story. Shoutout to @MiamiRaad for this one
16. Mexican Meng

I liked this one so much it’s literally the only handle I use in all my social media’s which I only ever created because of @Sabrinouye so big time shoutout
17. Cheetahguy

When we were kids, my brothers and I pretended to be superheroes and I chose this name as my alias. My superhero had the powers of... well a cheetah lol. Pretty radical for a 7-year old mind if you ask me
18. Mr. 4.0 (previously known as Homework God)

I’ve always had good grades so I got a bunch of nicknames from that and I was the Robin Hood for hw, letting everyone copy my work every morning of middle school. What a socialist. Can’t lose my 4.0, got too much on the line
19. Mr. Onion and Honorable Guey

So I’m Italian from my dad’s side and thus, have an Italian last name: Cipolla, which means onion. Hence, Mr. Onion. And I can’t really explain the 2nd one lol. Shoutout to @indikimmi for these ones. I love em, feel classy.
