We& #39;ve now met our likely protagonist, Fiver - because he was the last of his litter and the runt. In Rabbit he& #39;s actually Little Thousand because rabbits can only count up to four, so anything higher is a lot/a thousand.
#SilverWatershipDown Fiver finds them a bit of cowslip, but they only get a bit before they& #39;re run off by two larger rabbits, part of the Owlsa, or authority.
#SilverWatershipDown Hazel complains about it and says when he& #39;s Owlsa he& #39;ll be nicer. Fiver says that at least he will be. Hazel says he& #39;d look after Fiver. Hazel seems like a good friend.
#SilverWatershipDown And we& #39;re only a few pages in and there& #39;s already good worldbuilding. I suppose footnotes are a bit of a cheat, but I don& #39;t mind.
#SilverWatershipDown Fiver and Hazel go across the brook to eat and discover something that terrifies Fiver even though he says it& #39;s not danger. Yet.
There& #39;s a new sign up, which of course they can& #39;t read. Fiver insists the field is full of blood, which Hazel doesn& #39;t see. Hazel manages to get Fiver home. The sign is that there is going to be a real estate development here. #SilverWatershipDown

#SilverWatershipDown Chapter two. Hazel wakes up thinking he& #39;s being attacked, but it& #39;s Fiver having a nightmare about the warren on a board in a stream, but the board is made of bones and wire.
#SilverWatershipDown It& #39;s actually a well described dream, where things will suddenly change and there are scene changes, and very loose logic. We don& #39;t see that enough.
Fiver wants to run and wants the whole warren to run. Hazel concedes that they should go talk to the chief rabbit. #SilverWatershipDown
