Some out there may need to hear this but questioning the interpretation and application of the apostasy law should not be perceived as questioning the law itself.

This is true not just for the apostasy law but for any shar’ii regulation prescribed by the shari’ah to be administrated in the muslim lands.

The sanctity of muslim life, property and faith is as such that it demands an absolutely coherent and intricately planned justice system that leaves little to no room for misuse or absuse.

A discussion between the ulema and the ruling class is very long over due.

And like always - easier said than done - the laymen need to be educated on these matters and awareness needs to be created that more accurately depicts the true spirit of the laws of our religion.
