I know this makes me a cranky old man, but when I look up how to do stuff on the Internet, I want to read an article that’s maybe 600 words that I can skim. I definitely do not want to watch a YouTube video that’s been padded out to 10 minutes to feed the monetization algorithm.
I am pleased to report everyone agrees, even the youths who usually think I’m washed. Looking forward to Words On The Internet in 2021!
A lot of folks responding with similar frustrations about recipes being prefaced with a personal narrative. In this case, the fault isn’t just Google — copyright law around recipes is peculiar, essentially only covering the narrative, not lists of ingredients & instructions.
