This is a common tactic at this point: Venezuela's US-backed right-wing opposition is deeply divided and unpopular (because everyone knows they sold out their country to Washington)

So they boycott elections... then try to claim elections are illegitimate because they boycotted!

The same thing happened in Venezuela's 2018 presidential election: Under US pressure, right-wing opposition groups boycotted the vote, refusing to participate.
