You all know me. At this point, I've basically been around in 2dfd the whole time. I'm going to let off some cold hard observations.
#2dfd has changed. A fundamental way that it's changed though... this thread is gonna be a flaming hot take to some of y'all.

Save for a few exceptions here and there, 3D-findom, and 3D-catfish-findom, have maintained one thing that 2DFD has devolved away from.
You're not going to like to hear this but: 2DFD has basically turned into a middle school playground.

3DFD/3DCFFD, they've maintained for the most part, that their Dommes are ADULTS. Dommes that have control and power. 2DFD... Most of you Dommes act like kids. You act like *subs*, even when you're not even switches.
You want to know why you're struggling to get subs to actually approach you? Subs want to submit to someone with power and authority. They w̵a̵n̵t̵, need MATURITY.
Subs on the "inside" of the community, they see that a lot of y'all don't have maturity.

When you're BSing like a sub, even to other Dommes, but especially other subs, it chips away at that image.
Something that subs appreciate, though often subconsciously, is that they want to be "the kid", and the Domme to be "the adult." And they see when you're not.

All of my subs know that I sub to Erin, it's not a secret or anything. But even when I'm subbing to Erin, I do so respectfully, with authority, control, and with power.
Like being an older teen babysitter that's looking to show they can be responsible; I don't cut up.

The 2DFD community has gone from, "letting your hair down" to "cutting up, insulting each other, acting like immature kids." I see many of you not taking your D/s seriously, when I see a bunch of subs yearning for that.
I mean, keep on doing it. Us old fuckers, like me and D*******, E*** (that's not Erin btw), we'll still keep getting subs. And if they don't see us, they'll just go back up to 3DCFFD too. I know N******** will happily take whatever gets tired of our scene.
Fuck, I don't need much more proof than looking at the fact that NONE of mine, nor E**n's subs, and I don't see D*******'s, nor E***'s, even *want* to interact with the rest of the community; to know that this is basically the problem.
I know this has been a hot take. And honestly, I'm not even sure if I want to say that this is "toxic" or "bad." But it's certainly one thing, stark and apparent that this shift is reflected in people not getting new subs.
Sure you get a lot of followers, you get decent interactions. But then I poke my head into the community spaces, and I see the *same* people, and it's MOST of the Dommes/switches, complaining that they aren't actually getting subs.
"Well Lya, I mean, I get 30~50 RTs, you get like... 20... Either you're insane or your faking/lying, or..."
1) Anyone that honestly believes I fake my shit, DM me, I'll personally log into my PayPal, show you my CashApp, my Amazon.
2) Interactions and followers don't mean shit

I've been doing my D/s in general, for 15 years. Yea I'm old as dirt, haha. But it's also given me a ton of insight, as I've gone from dynamic to dynamic. E**n has nearly as much experience as well. I'm certain the same is true for D******* and N********.
Admittedly, yes, it's rather difficult & takes a lot of experience to find that balance between "appearing as mature and an adult" while still "being lighthearted and carefree with your subs and others." I can't easily tell you where that line is, you just gotta explore it.
But truth is, if you want to be a "successful" Domme, with a handful of subs at your feet, you're going to have to ACT like a Domme. Sorry but, even as a switch, it's really hard to cross those lines and perform differently.
Subs WANT to ASPIRE to be like you. They want to ASPIRE to have power, authority, to "grow up one day," even if they DON'T WANT to stop being subs.
