Zimbabwe has needed the international attention and social media outcry it’s getting currently for decades. Oppression in Zimbabwe has always been institutionalized, right from colonial rule to post colonial rule. don’t turn this struggle into another social media trend.
lZimbabweans need more than just reposts and retweets. we need solidarity and action on a governmental level ESPECIALLY from African countries, particularly from African countries that have reaped endless benefits from Zimbabwe (cough cough SA).
to live outside of Zimbabwe and be vocal about issues taking place in Zimbabwe is an immense privilege. We’re not threatened by arrests, kidnapping and even death. that means we can afford to do SO MUCH MORE than just tweet and repost. write to the ambassador, the embassy, etc.

for generations, Africa and the world at large have failed Zimbabwe and her people. our generation cannot afford to repeat the mistake. if we do, millions of people will continue to lose their lives due to poor sanitation, starvation and not having reliable source of income.
the innocent children who’ve been abducted by the government and the families who have lost memebers deserve justice. there will be no freedom and progression on this continent until we are able to unite for the common goal that is total emancipation from ALL oppression
