I finally figured out how to make screentones super fast in storyboard pro 😭
OK! So basically what you have to do is have a transparent .PNG of whatever you want as your texture/screentone. Here's the one I made if you want to use it-
Load a "new texture" in the swatches, and replace whatever you want with your texture! I dont know why but it loads in REALLY BIG. So you have to go to "Edit Gradient/Texture". When you click on that a box will appear, simply resize box to the scale you want!
I filled it in with red first because it was easier to see where the pattern would exactly go. You can also draw with your new texture, but there's a slight lag.
It's a little clunky (as you can see in the prev vid) Sometimes the resize box will appear somewhere completely random. But otherwise- IMO this works pretty well (if not better due to resizing feature) compared to photoshop screentones!
My only warning is if you move your pattern somewhere else on the canvas, and recolor over that same area the halftone might not line up. But otherwise, it's pretty good!
Also you can apparently do gradients??
