Pinterest: sends me an email with Zelda Breath of the Wild recommendations.

Me: Interesting. How do you know I've been playing BotW? Oh, right. You probably bought that information from google, since I did google something about the game the other day.

Internet privacy, folks.
Now why is this important? Sure, Pinterest is harmless for the most part... however, much of your information can also be sold to... well, scammers. You might not be vulnerable to scams (although stats say more and more young people fall victim to them) but
those most at risk (elderly) do have a tendency to fall victim to them. In fact, millions of dollars are stolen every day through scams. Anyways, be cautious and privacy is important.
You wouldn't believe how convincing scams are becoming... or the extent to which scammers weaponize fear. Watch Kitboga on twitch. End thread.
