Space is fascinating yet terrifying...
Here are some facts about space that will send shivers down your spine

1. We have NO idea what’s outside of the visible universe.
We just know that it’s pulling bits of galaxies away. This is called Dark Flow. We don’t want to assume that it’s all the same stuff that we’ve already seen...

2. Galaxies EAT each other.
Yes, you read the correctly. Larger galaxies have been observed to “consume” smaller galaxies through gravitational interactions.

3. We have only witnessed less than 5% of the material that the universe is made of.
The other 95% is dark matter and dark energy which we cannot yet understand.

4. If you were to go out into space without a space suit, all of the water in your body would boil, evaporate, and expand until your body popped like a balloon.

5. We don’t know what we don’t know about space.

6. Vampire stars exist.
There are stars that are known to “suck the life” out of others in order to continue burning for longer.

7. There is a giant black hole hurtling through space at a few MILLION miles per hour.
No big deal...

8. Time on Earth flows faster than time in space.
Astronauts and people on Earth experience time COMPLETELY differently, but neither are aware of the difference.

9. Over one MILLION Earths could fit inside the Sun.
However, there are stars that exist which completely dwarf the Sun..

10. One day, the night sky will be completely black.
Don’t worry, this won’t be happening anytime soon. (Probably trillions of years from now). We’ll be LOOONG gone by then.
