In an effort to spread awareness of the positives of getting a PhD in your 20s, I want to start a thread of some of the ways that individuals have enjoyed graduate school in their 20s! For those who are/have done this, why are you happy that you made this choice? @OpenAcademics
Beginning my PhD at 22 showed me that I have the passion, drive, and work ethic necessary to have a seat at the same table as those individuals twice my age. Not to mention I love the flexibility that pursuing a PhD this young provides! Whether that includes travel, parties, etc!
Encouraging others to share their experiences! Or even worries/questions you might have if you are thinking about entering a PhD program young! @AcademicChatter @BlackWomenPhDs @BlackPhDNetwork #AcademicTwitter #AcademicChatter
