Since it apparently needs to be said yet again:

I am one person, with very few spoons. Please do not ask me to explain things to you from square 1. Please DO come to me with questions about things you’ve been looking into, if you think I have answers or know where to find them.

It does not feel good or respectful to me, my time, or my limited resources when people *I don’t even know* treat me like a search engine or voice assistant.

I do not have the capacity to be anyone’s Siri, and especially not Siri for strangers.

Literally no one likes to be treated like a magic 8 ball.

“Tell me about X” is informative for you, but “I was reading about X, and started wondering about Y” is participatory for both of us. Instead of an infodump, it becomes an exchange of ideas, even with disparate knowledge.

People who treat others like information dispensers are, guaranteed, terrible in bed:

They don’t care whether the other person is getting their needs met or even having a good time, they only care about their own satisfaction.

Stop telling on yourselves!
