He knows no mirth, joy, or shitposting. Everyday he goes online to rage about politics

but he doesn't understand politics, he doesn't control politics. So why is he obsessed with it?

If you truly understood politics, you would see yourself in 3 possible categories: serf, elite, or rogue. It's obvious who has control over the system (elite), who's dependent on the system (elite/serf), and who lacks control but also dependency on the system (rogue)

So why outrage political porn? Much like masturbation, thinking about how your system and your actions would be better have no real world effect, but it's an entertaining fantasy.

The nature of politics posting is masturbatory

don't have a gf? Open pornhub
Don't have any control over politics? Debate systems, commentate about movements, talk about how XYZ politicians betrayed your cause

Both are methods for people to evade confronting their poor position in life, what they might need to fix, what habits or vices they need to drop.

Some examples:

Yes it's true the middle class is downwardly mobile. But why are you making poor consumer choices?
Yes it's true TV is propaganda. But why are you watching TV?
Yes it's true the rich care only about profit. But do you have a savior complex? Hoping they change their minds one day?

Yes it's true tinder sets bad expectations for men/women. Why can't you talk to girls though?
Yes it's true onlyfans is bad. Doesn't that drive down the supply of men on the dating market though?
Yes it's true porn destroys the mind. So why are you looking at it?

A reality that shouldn't be terrifying, but is to most of these people, is that their own life choices have landed them in their own personal hell.

So what do you do while in hell? You shriek.

There's more to the sexual marketplace but this was to show the similarities between porn and politics.

Recently there was a viral post "they're begging us to build the guillotines" yet it remains unbuilt.

You fantasized about it, then went back to life

And this illustrates the difference between the serf and the rogue. The serf will never revolt, at least not in this age of hyper-technological bread and circus. The rogue, however, is his own master, freeing himself from system dependency.

Many serfs have this option-- they could voluntarily withdraw, quite easily in fact. But that's not as easy as just raging about politics, much life how it's easier to open pornhub than to join local events, be a friend, make a friend, etc.

But even online, these misanthropes can find no happiness. They shun the shitpost, thinking it is low quality. They don't understand the shitposting is therapeutic, to keep sanity while simultaneously be working on their rogue builds!

And often times, the most creative, funniest shitposts come from the rogue guilds, how serendipitous.

The shitpost torments them because it reminds them:

1) they aren't getting their life in order

2) they aren't even having fun while wasting time

And, in case you're wondering, the revolt happens when the revolt happens. It is handed directly down by forces outside of our control. When it does happen, you want to be thriving in the spectator stand.
