Why is twitter the place where folks put out 'hot takes' on how to solve coronavirus with massive public policy experiments on a scale that has never happened in human history?

It should totally be instagram

It is also ignorant of the fact that EVEN IF the vaccine is efficacious and EVEN IF the safety signal is predictable in large studies (PS small trials don't rule out rare signals), the BEST way to distribute LIMITED vaccine (as it is manufacturered) is a PUBLIC health question

Giving rich, well off people (b/c WHO ELSE?) access to an unproven vaccine which sabotages enthusiasm for a P3 trial and could easily provide fuel for a 1000 years of anti-vaxism with one rare safety signal is probably the absolute worst idea I have encountered since COVID began
