OK so i was asked to play that party under the bridge last night, and i turned it down. My father died alone because of Covid. My mother was not allowed to see him until hours before he could die in hospice.
I saw it as a disrespect to both my mother and everyone else who is going through what she went through. Imagie being married for 50 years and not being able to see your husband on his death bed?
The fact that these promoters were using the protests as an excuse to throw a party is also upsetting. Its also very sad to see young people doing stupid young people things and not thinking things through. Selfish entitlement.
I went to a hospice during Covid and i saw first hand the damage this disease causes. I do not wish that on anyone. Noone deserves to die alone.
I am a very private person and i did not want to push my "dead father" agenda on people, but it is so fucked up how selfish and fucking STUPID people can be. Everyone talks about how bad the "Republicans" are, but the left can be just as fucking idiotic.
I was also approached by the NY Times today about this party, and i declined to be interviewed. I do not want to be involved with any of this. Everyone who was involved in this will be on the wrong side of history.
