As of last night, the Portland Police Bureau have charged at, tackled, thrown and then beaten protesters in the streets, for fun, on at least 18 of the last 65 nights. Probably more.

Common features of a PPB charge may include: cops macing people's faces from <2 feet away; cops tackling and beating stragglers only to let them go w/o arresting them; 2-3 cops who are so excited about hurting people that they're sprinting 15+ feet ahead of the rest of the line.

This thread is full of terrible things, but we're almost certain we missed a few other terrible things that should be included! If you find a video of a PPB "bull rush" from a night not already listed here, please share and we'll add it to the thread.
Black lives, our community, and our collective shot at a better world all require us to continue taking action today, tomorrow, the next day, and the next. Because you cannot reform this. Abolish the police.
Quick note: Saying that the cops charge at people like this "for fun" may sound glib, but at this point it honestly feels like the most succinct and accurate description of their attitude towards protesters. And "because they get off on it" didn't fit within the character limit.
