why you can’t be alt and hate people who are different from you: a thread

starting off, alt is not JUST fashion ! it is a big part, but the biggest thing is that it’s a culture and a community! we strive on being different from the norm, and we can’t hate on people who are doing the same!

a good example of what the alt community stands with is P.L.U.R. which means peace, love, unity, respect! it’s a popular thing for raves as well! that’s how people trade kandi jewelry and express their kindness for others!

so why can’t i have opinions?
you can! you can have opinions or dislike something, but if you bash people for your opinion, that’s when it gets bad.

for example! if you say you are alt and you bully or make fun of cosplayers, furries, weebs, etc. you are NOT alt. that’s going against what we want completely! you cannot say “i’m different” and then hate on people who are ALSO different. it doesn’t make sense.

also!! if you are alt, you can’t be conservative/republican. this is also VERY VERY prominent in punk culture as well, but you cannot be republican! the republican party usually pushes oppression towards minorities and such, and being republican means you are choosing that side.

moral of the thread, you cannot hate on someone for being different if you are different yourself! do your research on alt culture! this is not JUST a fashion!!
