speaking of weird road trips I've done in various augusts: 4 years ago they gave us a bus-sized RV and unlimited gas to go drive around the mountains and shoot an advertisement about, er, RVing in the mountains

keep in mind, I drove a mini cooper at the time so this was like 10x the weight, 10x the price and to this day I'm not sure if it was insured.

...and my photographer partner tells me the morning we leave that he got a DUI, so he can't actually drive for any of the trip

in the end we couldn't actually drive very far because of forest fires so it was cut short, only like 1500 km and 4 days.

but, we made it. I wasn't suddenly saddled with a massive debt for rolling a luxury bus over a mountain pass railing and we even maybe got some nice video
