I attended the Delco Resists march in Ridley Township yesterday. What happened before & during the march is not sitting well with me and needs awareness! Here’s a thread about what really happened throughout the event:
The meeting point for the march took place at Frederick L. Mann Memorial Park in Folsom (a few minutes away from Nifty Fiftys on MacDade). When I arrived there were already about 50 bikers, most likely more, stationed on the other side of the park.
The march was scheduled for 12 pm-3 pm. We didn’t start to march the planned route until around 1:30. Before then, Delco Resists were gathering signatures for petitions, volunteers, etc. mainly just setting up and preparing to go.
After that was taken care of, we had a few speakers, including myself, to share a few words and that’s when the bikers started coming around. They were intentionally disrupting speeches. A pickup truck drove around numerous times with a Trump sign as well as
this woman screaming and giving us the finger. It was evident that counter-protestors were ready with ill intentions before we even left the meeting point.
Even though we were being followed by the motorists, everything was fine and peaceful until we started walking downhill on MacDade towards the Chick-fil-A. Counter-protestors were already lined up on the sidewalks with Trump signs, screaming multiple racial
slurs, making threats, and clearly day drinking. Most of them were already intoxicated.
This is the pickup truck that drove around multiple times and eventually tried to run over @kyleTmcintyre53.
