I'm mostly just referring to "Anarcho-Communists" and "Anarcho-Syndicalists" and "Libertarian Marxists" and all those other funky people who LARP "Libertarian Socialist" aesthetics. You know those people, the ones with the IWW and Social Anarchist flag profiles pictures?
Now I'm not dissing on Social Anarchists or anything, I myself am not completely opposed to Bakunin's Collectivism or Kropotkin's Communism. What I'm specifically referring to are the "Aestheticist Anarchists." The ones with the Sankara profiles pictures who post Makhno fancams.
These people 9/10 times usually become Marxist-Leninists, Maoists, Third-Worldists, or some other middle-of-the-road leftist. This is usually just a result of them being too uneducated at the time and too enthralled with pop politics to really grasp the weight of the situation.
This fault can also partially be laid at the feet the online Anarchist community. From my experience it's a very "Elitist" community, who a majority of the time doesn't put in any effort to more further educate it's members. Only spewing unexplained unexplained rhetoric instead.
Like I see a lot of people of complaining about this here, but only a few of them really take the time to try and examine the root cause of the problem. We need to start educating and acting more friendly towards newer Anarchists, not alienating them and pushing them away.
Anyways yeah, just uh, next time you see a Pop Anarchist in a group chat or Discord server or whatever, and they're asking for help and shit, don't just throw buzzwords at them. Actually try and explain and introduce them to more then surface level political theory. Peace nerds.
