And an overwhelming majority of that brutality was against black trans women and other black queer people. A black non-binary famously started the riots, putting her life on the line for your white ass, and the result of that brick is your right to be legally recognised

So if the thank you you have for the black queer people who have championed your rights for 50+ years is “well police protect people” then you can fucking yeet yourself from my TL: police only defend us because we fought them and won. Now our black siblings need that same energy

And they only protect white queer people: Queer BIPOC - especially black trans women- are overwhelmingly over represented as the victims of police violence, and all other forms of violence. Black trans women have a life expectancy of 39 in the USA

Use your fucking body as a shield with the same vigor that you use to shout down #ACAB or shut up you POS
