First and foremost, protest, demonstration and freedom of speech must always be respectful to all and not the few but also preresent our values of being diverse and inclusive.
Violence. Profanity. Unlawful acts are never respected and absolutely destroy the good message.

What do I π©ππ«π¬π¨π§ππ₯π₯π² see here? I see police legitimacy at risk & I see pain and worry
I see, on the majority, members of our community who care, who have felt pain, stepping up. I see them speaking the good message and walking it through with our young generation.

We know from time and time again. In order to curve the circle of violence, to destroy the self fulfilling prophecy, we need role models, parents, elders, those in the spot light; to step up and speak up.
To motivate and drill down into the minds of the young to guide them.

This demonstration in #Brixton were peaceful in the main and the Met themselves stated it was a successful day with just three arrests.
These arrests do not destroy the message of the many due to the fews actions. But they do risk it & this behaviour shouldnβt happen.

Whatβs key now? Everyone must listen. Put aside your pre-excising thoughts/experiences, and listen to those in the community.
We all can learn something every day and change from all sides is needed. New ways of working. New processes. New respects & new relations.

Later this week, I have a blog coming out from the @CollegeofPolice.
This covers my experiences with racial profiling when I was a youngster in #Newham due to a stop & search. This motivated me to join the blue line & help bring change.
Change is possible. Make it happen.
