Over the past 4 years, thanks to a whole bunch of factors that I won't unpack in this thread but are easily citeable, the digital UX detiorated in the leading digital platforms/social media spaces, as USian leadership increasingly turned more obviously hostile to everything else.
Otoh, where I would have had trouble getting anyone to listen to my rants about a hybrid race war online (given I was on the frontline as a visibly outspoken WoC), this year, even the most insulated privilege recognizes this, if they aren't a pumpkinhead troll or supporter.
Now, I bring this up because thanks to the global pandemic, we are all more dependent on digital connections for our daily lives and work to far greater degree, and, the situation has moved beyond just our global south countries shutting off interwebz for us.
