before and after pictures, 18 pounds apart
fitness story time!!

for most of the quarantine period, i felt like i didnt have the motivation to do anything, much more accomplish something relatively significant. eventually, i realized that i had to change something,
which led me to challenge myself to lose as much weight as i can. i started at 176 lbs last october 2019 (see pic above), but i didnt stricly monitor my progress until january 2020.
i lost a couple of pounds from january to march (176 to 171 lbs). it was really difficult for me to be strict with my diet since the occasional stress from my graduating year also led me to stress-eat randomly. however, i still made sure to consistently hit the gym and work out!
dont get me wrong but im an advocate of sticking to a well-designed fitness program. ang sinabi ko lang is tao rin ako and i mess up sometimes PERO THAT’S OKAY! it’s not the end of the world if you ate that doughnut that you were craving. that’s why flexible dieting exists.
then came the ecq. on most days, i really felt the crippling anxiety brought about by the situation. i saw working out (and fitness in general) as a way to make me feel a little bit better about myself, so i tried my best to be consistent.
CLOSING REMARKS (wow)

progress is not linear. different bodies react differently to different kinds of stimuli so dont expect to have the same journey as i did. proper nutrition should always be your top priority (i.e. working out only helps your overall progress).
CLOSING REMARKS PART 2 (wow part 2)

im well aware of the situation that we all are living in right now and there’s a lot that needs to be addressed (ehem) but there will be days where the only thing that you can do is to help and take care of yourself (physically and mentally)
so dont be too hard on yourself especially during these hard and trying times. sitahin na lang natin yung mga tunay na nagdudulot ng pangamba at paghihirap sa ating lahat ngayong panahon ng pandemiya.
