Interesting in going hiking? A thread of a few hiking trails you can do in Gauteng under the level 3 lockdown

1. Modderfontein Nature reserve.

It’s R30 per person and R15 per child. The trail is just over 8kms (great for beginners). No bookings necessary. No pets allowed
3. Ezemvelo nature reserve

It’s R75 per person. You need a permit and can only hike with people you’ve travelled with. Maximum of 50 permits are issued daily. Great for people who want to hike longer distances

4. Groenkloof Nature Reserve

It’s R45 and it’s the oldest nature reserve in Africa (apparently). It’s a 10.5km trial and it’s convenient.

7. Cradle Moon

It’s R50 per person. It includes cycling and trail running. Includes 3 routes depending on experience.
