I’m getting fed up with people who have never been slaves asking for reparations from people who have never owned slaves. I’ve done some research and thought I’d attempt my first thread. I don’t have many followers so retweets will be appreciated

According to the 2011 census 3.3% of the population identify as black. Of a population of 67 million that’s 2,211,000 identifying as having an Afrocarribean heritage

Stats also tell us that 48% of Caribbean and 42% of African heritage families live in a single parent household. At an average of 45% that’s 994,950 single parent families

Basic benefits for a single parent on benefits is £409.89 per month. On top of this they get extra money per child. This amount is dependent on whether the children have SEN and can add to a fair sum

Add to that rent, council tax plus other additions and the average monthly benefits are around £2000 per month. That’s £24,000 per annum

Let’s not forget this is cash in the hand. For a working person to take home 24k pa they need to earn 30k

So if we have 994,950 single parent families claiming the average of all available benefits that comes to £29,848,500,000 per annum. This is every year, year after year. Bear in mind this is based on the 2011 census. How many more Africans have moved here in the last 9 years?

I know not all families will be on full benefits. I know rents will vary dependent on area. This is just to throw out a ball park figure. One things for sure it does amount to £billions every year

So to you people who have never been slaves. How much is enough? Us people who have never owned slaves seem to be giving you an awful lot in reparations already!
