why everyone should see One Day at a Time (ODAAT), and why it deserves more recognition, a lil thread;

what's ODAAT?
odaat is a TV sitcom. Remake of a 70's series, follows the life of a cuban-american family in LA, and how's like to be a latin family living in USA, their landlord/close friend, and their mom's boss/ amily friend. (All them basically as a family)

the cast. A majority of the main cast is latinx, as well most of the guest stars are latinx, which is HUGE. Not to mention, the quality of actors and legends, like Rita Moreno (EGOT winner), Justina, Isabella, Marcel, Todd and Stephen have OUTSTANDING talent.

the series has a Latina showrunner, (Gloria Calderón), eight female writers and six female directors. POWER. (Remember that latin, POC, n women representation in industry, it's still HARD, so this show it's a big thing.)

ODAAT tackles A LOT of important topics, such as, xenophobia, racism, depression, anxiety, panic attacks, lgbt+ community, important of pronouns, non-binary ppl visibility, feminism, responsible sex, consent, self-love, found family, loving parenting, and many others. example:

the series really honors the "sitCOM", u'll never get bored, u watch 25 minutes and u will laugh 24 of them, they handle an AMAZING and careful sense of humor, knows how to make every character very real, but interesting and funny.

the show has amazing women, POC, and latin representation. The series cast it's one of the best ones you'll ever see, you'll have an amazing time seeing it, you'll cannot stop laughing, sometimes sobbing, or reflecting, give it a try and you'll never regret it.
