When we talk about the Word of God, We are referring to the words which were written down by Holy men as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

Beloved to understand the word of God is to encounter Jesus, The Bible says no man can say Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit.

The Word is Jesus Christ and In time past scripturally we see
"THE WORD" coming to people, We see the word coming to manifest its will to people.
I.E
1) John the Baptist in Luke 3:2
2) Prophet Jeremiah in Jeremiah 1:1-2,4

Beloved to know the Word of God is to be Spiritually built up.
To know the Word of God is to renew your mind according to the will of God.

Beloved the Word of God is quick in warfare, the Word of God is the most powerful Spiritual atomic bomb
Having a vast knowledge in the word of God makes you an effective prayer warrior.

The Word of God is a Sword according to the Armour of a Christian, the Bible also says the word of God is sharper than a two edged sword, this means that the word of God is powerful and can cause damage while using it in prayers against the kingdom of darkness.
Beloved you must know how to use the Word of God, the sword of the Spirit in prayer.

The Word of God will keep you from Sin. Jesus died for our sins that we may live unto him in Righteousness.
The psalmist said in
Psalm 119:11
"I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.
Constantly meditating on the word of God will keep you from sin.

Beloved you must trust the word, You must speak the word, the word is to be encountered, experienced and manifested.
Your understanding of the word of God is in close relationship to the realm you are operating with the Lord Jesus.

"Forever O Lord, your word is settled in Heaven. Beloved the Word we trust has been settled.
Matthew 24:35
"Heaven and earth shall pass away but my Word shall not pass away.
Beloved the Word we trust will never pass away as Jesus is Lord.

If you have read this thread and you have not given your life to Jesus Christ, beloved you must be born again.
What does it mean to be born again, To be born again Means to be born by the Spirit of God into the kingdom of God for that which is born of the Spirit is Spirit.

Lord Jesus I come to you this morning a sinner, I believe you died for me on the cross and was raised on the third day. Lord Jesus have mercy on me, let your Righteousness manifest in my life.

If you said those words, I pray the Holy Spirit come upon you in the name of Jesus. You still need more than this to be a Christian. You need to start building a relationship with the Holy Spirit, you need a bible, spend time reading, asking questions, praying, fasting.
God will manifest himself to you through his word as he did to the world through JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD AND GOD, MY MASTER.
