Covid-19 threatens this investment. @IPPR Chris Thomas states, “It’s always surprising just how much of the UK’s research spend comes from the charity sector. If the government isn’t coming in and helping out in some of these conditions, then you really do wonder who will be.”
@TheBHF joined @AMRC and others in calling for Government to buttress R&D while we recover. Cardiovascular science is in jeopardy - at a time where research is needed more than ever, the R&D sector cannot afford to stall.
