Once again we have a supposedly intelligent member of the football fraternity, Oliver Kahn, claiming that City's victory at CAS has damaged FFP and other clubs. An indirect way of smearing City by continuing to falsely imply they were guilty! Nice try Oliver but...
Kahn: 'We as Bayern Munich we are always interested in a more-balanced competition in our league but we have to be careful concerning the money because we are not only competing in the German Bundesliga, we as a global brand are also competing in Europe." Wait...what???
So let me see if I understand you correctly, Oliver. You want more financial regulation so that the leagues will be more balanced but FFP may have to go a little easier on Bayern because they compete in Europe? Wow.
So I imagine the finances of the serfs in the national leagues will be subject to regulations that bring 'balance' but some 'special care' should be taken to relieve the divine European competitors of some of that 'balance' because , well, they have the burden of global ambition.
Kahn: "We are very open, as Bayern Munich, to that discussion but here in Germany people of the other clubs they must understand that as Bayern Munich we have to compete in Europe at the highest level against other clubs." Ok, ok Oliver! Geez!
Kahn: "These are not easy questions but we need to find an answer in the next months."

Wow. You seem to be in a bit of a hurry, Oliver.
You see, the problem isn't that City damaged FFP and "got away" with something terrible at CAS. The problem is that City demonstrated that newcomers with money don't have to stand aside or be sabotaged by other clubs. Other ambitious new kids on the block will learn from this.
That's what Bayern, Juventus, United, Madrid and the other big old boys are worried about. And that is why the likes of Oliver Kahn see this 'problem' as a matter of urgency. CAS was just one battle. The war is by no means over. Brace yourselves.
