Can’t we go back to having to find music yourself, buy it and maybe share it with your friends or lovers via storage device
Personally, I find streaming services underwhelming as an artist and overwhelming as a consumer (obviously I am not working hard enough as an artist, cc Ek)
Discovering music through a streaming platform has no meaning to me, and therefore my experience of the music itself is diminished, and also my ability to retain a memory of it
Perhaps this just reveals how sentimental I am. There are some albums that are so deeply associative for me, I remember who gave me or recommended the album and what was going on in my life at the time
