As your #shielding co-workers return to work in the coming days or weeks here are some things to consider in addition to this fabulous poster by @NBTWellbeing

Some have already felt isolated at home. This sense of isolation might continue as they may need to distance themselves from others - some have been told to sit alone or find someone quiet for a break

#Smile #Wave #Respect their space if they want it
Those #shieldingbyproxy may not have received a risk assessment that takes that into account. They may be worried about family or loved ones & feeling huge guilt.

They want to feel as safe as they can hugging their family when they get home. They are not being irrational
They may ask for #PPE #socialdistancing that you think is not appropriate. They may have been advised to take extra precautions. Don't question why, mock or ask them to cut corners.
Some may ask you to respect their space by wearing a badge, lanyard or item that indicates they want 2m distance https://twitter.com/DistanceAware/status/1283812105389572096?s=20
Some #shielding co-workers haven't yet taken 'normal' community activities such as going to the supermarket, ordering takeaways, sitting in shared workspaces. This will take getting used to.
Their reason for #shielding may be immensely private. Don't pry or invade their privacy.

Being classed as #ExtremelyClinicallyVulnerable has psychological & behavioural impact as well as added worry about physical health & mortality
