Tired of folks calling white Latinxs "spicy." They are white bread like any other white person on the planet. What is it that is making them "spicy"? So over y'all giving white Latinxs these stupidpasses. It's insulting to me and others who have to live w/ them terrorizing us.
We got EVICTED from our mostly white Cuban apartment building bc we played music after 10pm on my birthday. So miss me with the “white Latinxs are passionate and talk loud.” The same boring, dull, oppressive white ways of being is the norm among white Latinxs.
I PURPOSELY wanted to move to a white Cuban neighborhood bc I couldn’t take the noise in my husband’s barrio. Yes. Call me an 80 year old white woman. I do not care. My husband moved kicking and screaming bc he knew all his fun was gonna be over once we moved to El Vedado.
We had miserable white neighbors that ended up loving my husband bc there is no one on the planet who doesn’t fall to his charms. But he was considered a “respectable negro,” in their eyes.
My husband hates going to white areas of Havana. El Vedado, Playa. He knows the cops will be on his Black ass and he cannot be loud and free in those areas. I also live in a white building in Panama. Loud events fo not happen in this building periodt.
& this is consistent ACROSS THE BOARD. There is no loudness in white neighborhoods in Latin America. AT ALL. EVER. You can hear a pin drop at 9pm. If there is a disturbance, they WILL call their personal customer service aka the cops. Just like in the U.S. Stop making things up.
My husband was SHOCKED at how RADICALLY diff the white neighborhood was compared to his. In El Vedado it’s not 7373 ppl living in 1 sq. foot of space. Lights& water are consistent. The signal in WiFi zones were better. He knew his country was racist but realized the depth of it.
When we were looking for apartments, first thing we asked was abt how often the lights & water went out. In every single El Vedado apartment, the white landlords immediately responded: “Here? Never.” Or “not often.” The lights went out almost everyday in my husbands Black barrio.
Pituco, cachaco, rabbiblanco, niño de la casa, yeye...all words for snobby/stuck-up w/money & may not ALWAYS be used on a white person with a stick up their ass, it USUALLY IS. Watch somebody come on this thread like”it’s not race, it’s class.” Completely ignoring they are linked
