Keroro Gunso is an anime I initially back in 2012. I only the dub, and about four episodes after the dub. After that, while I considered it my favorite anime even at the time, I didn& #39;t really touch the series for so long.

However, that all changed in November of 2019.
After I was done watching Danganronpa 3 off a free anime site in October, I had thought "Hey, I know I& #39;ve been wanting to rewatch Sgt. Frog for some time, might as well do it on this site" since when I previously tried watching it on Funimation it was trash.
Upon watching the dub, it was (in my opinion) fantastic, and a whole lot better than I remember it! Probably because there was a bunch of jokes that flew over my head when I was younger (I mean I was surprised when Keroro said "ass" back then).
Needless to say, it was a really great rewatch for me. I was showing really big interest in the series. And as if I wasn& #39;t obsessed with the series enough upon finishing the dub, I decided to go on the journey of finishing the series.
And with that, I became completely absorbed into the series about frogs continuously trying to take over a planet and failing every time. And boy I am incredibly glad I took the dedication to finish the show.
This anime is really fun to watch! There& #39;s so many fun characters, the soundtrack is phenomenal, and there& #39;s a whole lot of episodes that are an absolute bliss to watch.
Being a slice of life, most of the episodes have a focus on comedy, and they absolutely excel at the comedy. From the platoon trying to get everyone on Pekopon to stub their toe, to Keroro suddenly turning into a grain of rice, there& #39;s enough variety to keep the show fresh.
And don& #39;t let the fact that this show is a comedy distract you from the more serious episodes because, hooh boy, they can hit hard. Episodes such as 262b and 307 have managed to make me cry, and episodes 100-103 are considered by fans to be some of the best the show has to offer.
Of course I have to bring up the characters; there& #39;s so many winners upon the cast. The platoon members are all each great in their own ways, and I love how greatly different they are from each other. Keroro being lazy, Tamama being hyper, Giroro being serious...
Kururu being an absolute madman, and Dororo who has changed his ways entirely since arriving on Pekopon.

And also, the Pekoponians are a welcome inclusion to the show as well, with the Hinatas being a great foil to the platoon& #39;s plans.
Though, I can& #39;t not mention the dynamic of each platoon member has a corresponding Pekoponian they have a deep connection with. It& #39;s a great dynamic that makes the platoon members almost not want to conquer the planet because of how much they care about them.
And the soundtrack. OOOOOOOOOOOOO-

I could go on all day analyzing each song the show has to offer, but for the sake of not making this thread longer than it already is, I& #39;ll just say that there& #39;s some songs that are contenders for best song ever made, in my opinion.
Of course, Keroro Gunso, like any other anime, isn& #39;t perfect by any means. There& #39;s quite a bit of uncomfortable GiroNatsu moments, season 7 felt a bit underwhelming in my opinion, and there& #39;s a bunch of characters that weren& #39;t used to their full potential.
Hell, it& #39;s probably not "objectively great" compared to other anime out there...
But... despite all that... to say that getting back into the series was one of the best choices I ever made is an understatement. This anime, Keroro Gunso, has meant so much to me from beginning to end. It has a special place in my heart.
The anime made me laugh, and made me cry, and it& #39;s really hard to believe I& #39;ve finally made it to the end. The journey has been such a wild ride for me. I& #39;ve made a bunch of stuff related to Keroro, whether it be memes, art, or what have you, I exclaimed my interest for months...
...but by far one of the greatest things I& #39;ve done in this time is meet so many people and make so many new friends. I know I& #39;m sounding really cliche here, but it& #39;s true. Whether I met you on Twitter or Discord, whether if we& #39;ve talked a lot or not that much...
...y& #39;all are some amazing people, and I& #39;m really thankful I wasn& #39;t alone on my ride through the series. You guys are the best; you made this experience all the better for me, and I hope you continue to be as welcoming to other newcomers as you were to me.
I don& #39;t think I can make this more apparent that Keroro Gunso is my favorite anime of all time, but yeah. Keroro Gunso is my absolute favorite anime of all time, and getting into the series was one of the best decisions I have ever made.
And as I wrap this thread up, while I may be done with the series, I don& #39;t think my interest is going to dwindle down any time soon. I& #39;ll continue talking about the series, I& #39;ll still indulge with the fanbase, and I guess I& #39;ll see where else the afterjourney will take me.
If you& #39;ve made it this far into the thread, I just wanna say thank you for hearing me ramble on about this frog anime. As cheesy as this sounds, or as this thread may have been, it really does mean a lot to me.
And with that, I think I& #39;ve squeezed in everything I want to say. Once again, thank you.
I love you guys, and take care. <3 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xvj0qW6gh2c">https://www.youtube.com/watch...
