What does #nocode look like in a year from now?
Still new tools coming out each month?
Or there are a few tools that emerge as the dominant ones?
Assuming there is a convergence, will be interesting to see who wins the web space and who wins the app space.
Some thoughts

#nocode web future
There will be two layers.
1) webflow, bubble
2) everyone else
The everyone else layer will serve niche needs well, but nothing that scales huge. A lot of nice lifestyle businesses.

@webflow vs @bubble
This one to me is really interesting.
Webflowâs bet is making the interface builder really strong and deeply connected into the CMS (database).
They lack the logic section which is what makes bubble a great option today.

Have to believe webflow is thinking about this logic piece and will come out with something strong soon.
On the other hand, @bubble is going all in on the @figmadesign integration as their interface builder.
Of course they can continue to make their own interface builder better over time, but the big bet is how well they can turn Figma files easily into their builder.

If they nail this, they might win.
Webflow requires you to have some some basic knowledge of html and CSS. Itâs super powerful, but a skill to be learned.
If designers can basically go from Figma prototype to bubble app, that is a game changer.

Final piece is marketing and company leverage.
Webflow has a huge leg up here.
@callmevlad and team are rockstars on twitter and marketing in general. This gives them their own leg up, and if they win I think this will be why.
It will be a very interesting next few years.

Mobile apps
I see @AdaloHQ vs @Bravostudioapp
And itâs kind of the same battle.
Adalo is all in on their interface builder and deep native functionality.
Bravo integrates with Figma from day 1, and they whole experience is built around it.

Will the same rules apply here as with webflow vs bubble.
Will webflow buy a mobile app maker to win both markets?
Going to be really fun.
And likely Iâm completely wrong with most of what I said.

What do you think?
