i'll be considerate here and go with my first instinct that you wrote this without thinking it through but please take it down. jokes about genocide just aren't funny. trivializing these things isn't funny. i wanna show you something. https://twitter.com/mrskorrasato/status/1289432838903922689
atla is not based on thin air. what you're describing here is part of tibet's legacy, a place that suffers every day. a place where people are so desparate that self immolation happens frequently.
tenzin and monk gyatso are named for the dalai lama who has not been in tibet in about 50 years. he grew up away from home because the chinese government forced him out. his reincarnation is uncertain and the tibetan people might lose their spiritual leader-
when they need him most. or china might appoint its own dalai lama to rival with his reincarnation (if it happens)
now, i also have a personal reason for which i'd like to ask you to delete the tweet and apologize.
for the latest anniversary of the genocide that happened here, the last remaining family members of our fallen filled a cup with coffee for each of their loved ones that will never get to drink it. i'm not asking you to understand what a joke like that-
wakes in a person who knows the pain, i'm just asking you not to add salt to the wounds. the dead aren't fertilizer. i yield my time.
