Hey! I know some of y’all are well meaning! But please think twice before your “put your pronouns in your bio” tweets ESP if they’re directly @ someone. Normalizing displaying pronouns is great! Pressuring people you don’t know into doing so? Not great!

I’m seeing people who don’t display their pronouns being painted as monsters on here and it’s been rapidly increasing lately. People don’t owe you their identities, they might not be cis, they might not be comfortable or know yet or it might not be safe for them to do so -

- amongst many other reasons (that you, as a stranger, are definitely not entitled to!) If you don’t know someone’s pronouns because it’s not on their profile learn to use neutral language if you aren’t going to ask! &just, please, think twice before posting those call out posts.

- signed someone who would GET REAL FUCKED if people in my life (who can easily find my social media accounts) saw pronouns that I’m actually more comfortable with in my bio :)
