I just would like to. note that, even in the middle of a pandemic, with half the country unemployed and without viable housing and food and childcare and health care, there are some good white ppl (tm) who are asking "but has yr life really gotten worse under tr*mp?"
...like, they are still looking for proof that it is THAT bad. And that's why we should be wary for November.

Some ppl are really, really addicted to the idea that this is somehow a both sides situation. That this is somehow reasonable...
that to react to this awful hellscape w fear, sadness and anger is somehow UNREASONABLE. that the best measure of yr goodness during this time is how hard you work not to raise your voice.
the idea that throughout US history there's been a "both sides did wrong' arc is probably the most dangerous, foolish and dumb. if there's anything eating american culture from the inside out, it's probably that...
to hold two opposing view points in yr mind at once is not, on its own, a sign of intelligence. it's a sign you know how to read. thassit.
