his ability, no longer human (ningen shikkaku) comes from the author& #39;s book with the same name, in which we are presented the story of oba yozo, a confused child who becane a troubled man, roughly even considered a human anymore.

the fictional dazai being suicidal comes from the fact that dazai in real life was sucidial as well, finally succeeding in his attepmts by drowning himself 2/2

his ability "beast beneath the moonlight" is based off of "the moon over the mountain" in which Yuan Can encounters a man who has turned into a man eating tiger while travelling to official bussiness and he had become insane,1/2

the beast explains that he was an old friend of yuan can& #39;s and as yuan can is about to leave he takes one more look at the tiger and sees him roaring at the moon and then disappearing 2/2

Akutagawa Ryunosuke
close to the end of his life, he started having hallucitantions and anxiety, fearing that e had inherited his mother& #39;s illness, in the end he commited suicide and died due to an overdoes of veronal in 1927 1/2

roshomon is based off of a book with the same name, in which the main character encounters a woman stealing hair from dead people to make wigs, the woman tries to justify her actions, he brutally robs the woman, and says that& #39;s what he needs to do to stop from starving 2/2
