Some people are getting mad like „lol they think forgetting a thing once isn’t ADHD“ like, duh, exactly. When we joke about abandoning hobbies it never carries the actual, debilitating burden that can come with it. We like to do light hearted posts for ourselves, yknow
We often talk about how we start a sth and forget and forget it, of course that happens to everyone. But what doesn’t happen to everyone is that we lose sight of what we want in life because we have difficulties engaging with things we love, making us question if we even love it
Not being able to change this one thing, starting a routine to become more healthy or organized just to fail again and again while we see everyone around us succeed, that’s what can be behind a post like „I can’t keep a routine.“
Imagine wanting to change something about yourself but somehow, not being able to. You follow your friends advice but somehow, it just doesn’t work for you. It’s incredibly depressing and makes you feel so powerless.
We make light hearted jokes for our community, using examples of how all of this can show up in our daily lives, e.g. „forgetting to look at your reminder notes“ and then people see it and assume we think that’s the depth of it, while we all know that’s the tip of the iceberg
„Is ADHD“ not isn’t 😭
Oh god I even proof read it and it’s full of errors! it’s almost 3am, sorry 😭
