A thread breaking down the pros and cons of each pill and coming to a final deciding conclusion on what the best pills are: https://twitter.com/ssbm_spark/status/1289462718810869761">https://twitter.com/ssbm_spar...
+ This would help every aspect of your game, and give you an advantage that no one else could have (faster reactions), assuming everyone is around the average reaction time (200-250ms).
- 3 frames isnât a lot (50ms), and this really wouldnât be *that* big of a deal.
+ If you main/secondary someone lower than Luigi, youâre set!
- If you wanna play a better character, this is useless unless you want a really strong mid/low tier secondary... which isnât that worth it.
+ If you play spacies, this would make your life a ton easier, and cut out tons of practice time.
- All tech can be nearly perfected anyways, so this wouldnât necessarily make you special. Your neutral is still more important. Also useless if you donât play spacies.
+ This would be very convenient, especially if you travel a lot.
- This could be accomplished without the need of a made up pill. Sort of a waste, considering what the other pills do arenât as easily achievable.
+ This would make you an extremely efficient player, and switching to secondaries easier would make counterpicking easy for you.
- Theoretically, you can get to the same level of practice with three times the time. If you play 1 character, the second part doesnât matter
+ Getting advice from top players who have likely been in your situation before and understand it would help you adapt immensely.
- If you canât apply their advice, this is useless. Plus, even top players give bad advice sometimes. Their advice doesnât guarantee a win.
+ This essentially means your opponent will always be at a 1 stock deficit. Extremely good.
- Against any top player, you will still get DESTROYED if you arenât close in skill level. A single stock will not clear a large skill gap.
+ Youâd never have to face one of your bad matchups, at least not early in bracket. Youâd be seeded against the worst people possible before you run into good players. Traveling thing is a plus.
- You will *eventually* run into bad matchups/good players.
- Green and Blue are too character specific to be useful. Theyâre off the table unless you main the mentioned characters.
- Orange is a convenience option. Only viable if youâre lazy (imo)
- Black seems poor unless you get a high seed, then itâs average at best
- Pink isnât consistent. Very dependent on the advice you get, and if you understand it.
- Red, Gray, and Yellow seem the best.
- The main point of Red *technically* can be done by practicing 3x as long. Easier counterpicking is a huge plus, tho.
- Yellow isnât a major deal in reality. While it is a straight upgrade over others, 50ms isnât a WHOLE lot more leeway.
- Gray is fantastic at an equal skill level. Having 1 more stock means you can make more mistakes, take more risks, and live longer.
Overall, Gray, Yellow, and Red are the best.
Pink and Black are situational. Green and Blue are character specific.
Orange is essentially useless.
Thank you for reading my pill analysis. Respect everyoneâs pill choices, even if they pick Orange!
