My district finally decided, with a lot of parent and teacher pushback, to go from a hybrid model to a virtual model. They intended for teachers to still work in the buildings. Some teachers were fine with that, some were not at all. We spoke up and that was changed to optional.

Since that was decided, there has been a huge amount of vitriol toward teachers & staff in our community, with parents in my neighborhood sending me messages saying that while I was one of the “good ones” there were so many others who just wanted to sit at home and be lazy.
